Ohio: Number of right-to-carry permits rises sharply

The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office experienced a surge in concealed carry permits issued for the first four months of 2009.
With nearly 700 new and renewal permits issued this year, the county is well on its way to surpassing the number issued in 2004 the first year the county issued permits.

People should have the right to protect themselves. It is almost primal to be able to have a weapon even if we evolved past stick and clubs, a weapon is another from of that stick or club.

I do not think we should be shooting them in the street, but we should not have our hands tied behind our backs either.
